Very quick and friendly response, and an early meeting to discuss our requirements. Charlotte gave us some really great advice – we felt guided by her expertise and felt that she really wanted us to be happy with her service. Charlotte was really quick at summing up the kind of catering we wanted, and helping us to choose things that would best suit our event and personalities. She made some really useful suggestions and helped us shape our rather vague ideas and feelings about what we wanted into a menu and a plan that we felt very excited about.
The waiting staff were friendly, cheerful, and had a great sense of humour. It was really relaxing to have them around, and they were helpful with any extra demands our guests had. We felt like nothing was a problem. They actually looked like they were having a good time – I know they were working, but they did it with a sense of fun and enjoyment which helped make the atmosphere so lovely. They were really helpful at all times, it really showed that they wanted everything to go well and for everyone to have a wonderful time.
Timing was spot on, lovely canapés ready when we were ready for them, and never any feeling of waiting around.
The standard was outstanding, and we have received many complements on the food from our guests, all of whom assumed it must have cost us a fortune to have such fantastic food! We kept quiet about how good your prices were so that we could take credit for our outstanding generosity. The Yorkshire puddings were received with high praise from all my Yorkshire family, and the beef was done beautifully. Puddings looked and tasted wonderful.
It looked stunning. The trio of puddings looks particularly beautiful.
Sorry this is so gushing. I really can’t think of anything that needed improvement. So many of the thank you cards we have had since our wedding have mentioned how wonderful the food was. One of the highlights of our wedding for us was sitting at the top of the room looking across at all our friends and family and seeing them tucking in with such gusto! Thank you so much for all your help in making sure our weekend went so perfectly. Your relaxed approach took all the stress out of the event and just made it fun from start to finish.

This is actually my fault but I had included a meal for the photographer (I told Gabby but forgot to tell you she’s be sitting in another room!) but somewhere in the confusion (I forgot to add it to the last email I sent detailing all the guests on tables etc) I think when the seconds went around it got eaten so that’s fine and the photographer didn’t seem to mind too much anyway!

The sample menus gave us a lot of ideas for our wedding meal and were an excellent starting point for us.

Lottie was great. We were deciding the order of our courses, speeches and other details until the very last minute even on the day. Lottie took everything in her stride and was completely unflappable. Her timings were perfect.
Was the food to the standard you expected?
The food surpassed our expectations and was definitely one of the highlights of our day. From the canapés to the dessert everything was just perfect. We have a lot of foodie friends who were very impressed and told us it was the best lamb they had ever tasted and the best food they had ever had at a wedding (including their own).

The food was beautifully presented, guests were even taking photos of the food instead of us!

We ran late, but that was no reflection on the catering more the speeches!

Excellent all round. we had lots of comments on how lovely the beef was, the duck and dessert also received a lot of excellent feedback. As a vegetarian, personally I thought all the food was excellent, fresh, tasty, not overcooked and good portion size.

Yes, it looked good. I didn’t pay too much attention, but if it had been naff I would have noticed

As we considered several caterers, one thing we wanted to do was a taster session with each, our expectation was that this would be at a reduced price or even a fraction of the cost. We don’t know if this is the normal procedure for tasting sessions but was just our expectation which may well be completely wrong! It was great that you had saved the bride and groom so canapés, as otherwise we wouldn’t have had any. But if at all possible could you do the same the for the bride and grooms parents. In particular if the bride’s parents if they are paying for the catering. As I felt a little bad my dad didn’t have any canapés It was excellent that I was able to text you on the morning of the wedding and get a quick response back.

WEDDING RECEPTION FOR 80 GUESTS AT THE PRIORY, MONMOUTH
From the moment that we first got in touch with Charlotte we were bowled over with the engaging, excited and pro-active manner with which we were treated. Having an English-Indian wedding in Wales and wanting to have an Indian meal meant that we needed someone flexible and engaging, and Charlotte was absolutely brilliant.
Some of the other Caterers in the area who we wont mention told us in no uncertain terms that curries weren’t wedding food and that we wouldn’t be able to find someone to do what we wanted – but we did and Charlotte more than excelled.
From our first visit to the house to taste a quick home made dahl, the incredible chocolate mouse cake and the chilli and olive oil sorbet (and of course the two lovely cats) we knew that we were going to be in safe hands.
All our dealings with charlotte were quick and efficient (although we did worry about her nocturnal and early morning habits with emails being replied to promptly but at all hours!), and she was accommodating of our evolving demands and our desire to integrate a curry brought especially from Manchester
On the day the staff and Charlotte were all brilliant, the canape’s so nice that several people over ate on them and the popadums and chutneys delicious. But special mention has to go to the curries, we know that Charlotte was worried about serving a large and loud family of Indians her curries, but absolutely everyone loved all of them – the keema curry was the perfect balance of heat and spices, thick and dark as it should be, the dahl melted in the mouth and the vegetable Korma added a lovely balance to procedings. And the home made Naan and Chapatis were delicious. The Sorbets surprised and delighted guests and the triple chocolate mouse cake disappeared off everyones plates incredibly quickly. A fantastic service for a perfect day!

MENU
Canapes - Cherry tomato, olive and mozzarella kebabs
Spinach filo triangles
Mini filo baskets with beef and horseradish
Smoked ham and grainy mustard pinwheels
Smoked trout and chive pate tartlets with chive garnish
Asparagus wrapped in Carmarthen ham
Starter
Caramelised onion and goats cheese filo tartlet with salad garnish, including 1 wheat free. No bread and butter
Main course. Boned leg of lamb cooked pink, with smoked ham, rosemary, garlic and thyme. Carved at table on wooden board with carving knife and fork, by nominated carver, white apron and chefs hat.
Wheat free red wine gravy/jus. Ramekins of red currant jelly and mint sauce.
All main courses served with new potatoes and summery vegetables on tables for guests to help themselves.
Vegetarian main course. Wild mushroom and red pepper risotto with parmesan shavings.
PUDDING
Medley of miniature puddings: Chocolate amoretti truffle torte dusting of cocoa powder fork, mini vanilla crème brulee (including 1 large one for wheat free guest Phil) in piped chocolate heart filled with raspberry coulis and summer pudding with spoonful of compote and sprig of mint.
Coffee and tea including herbal teas served from buffet station after speeches.
In addition to providing:
7no Waiting staff including 2 to stay on for evening snacks and to run complimentary bar and co cooks
Crockery, cutlery and glassware for reception drinks, red and white wine and water glasses. 48no extra wine glasses, 100 pints, 70 10oz, 48 tumblers
White table linen for 12no 5’ diameter round tables, 1no 12’x 4’oval top table, 1no 3’ cake table cloth, drinks table cloth and napkins.

- Parmesan shortbreads with red onion marmalade and goats cheese;
- Mini kebabs of mozzarella with cherry tomato and black or green olive;
- Mini Peking duck crepes with plum sauce;
- Mini Yorkshire puddings filled with rare roast beef and horseradish;
- King prawns wrapped in mange tout skewers with lime mayonnaise; and
- Mini blinis with smoked salmon, crème fraiche and dill garnished with lumpfish roe.
HAMPER MAIN COURSE @ 6.00pm in rectangular baskets each serving 10 guests.

Spinach, rocket, petit pois and minted feta with lemon dressing;
