Can Do Policy is put to the test!

The weekend of the 6th September will probably stick in many people's minds as the wettest weekend in history and the events of that weekend are not one's that I, or many members of the Brown wedding party are likely to forget in a hurry.
It went a bit like this...
At 3.30pm Friday 5th September 2008, the day prior to the wedding of Antonia and Phil at Cregrina, deep in the hills above Builth Wells, I received a telephone call from the bride's mother saying the stream next to the field where the marquee had been erected, had burst it's banks (the first time 80 years according to a local resident of some considerable years!). The marquee was 2 feet under water and could I find an alternative venue!
As CRC operate a "Can Do" policy whatever the weather, I said I would walk on water to get the show on the road. If only I had known I would literally swallow my words!
I called the Royal Welsh Showground, which was holding a two day Antiques Fair the same weekend and jumped through hoops to acquire the International Pavilion. (Very grateful thanks to Lynwen).
I summoned the crockery hire company, their van and chef, and my partner negoitated various flooded roads to get to the flooded venue. I then walked up to my bum in water to retrieve the crockery, cutlery and glasses, half of which was full of water and silt.
We delivered half the gear to the venue and then the next 5 hrs (until 3am) Lou The Plate and myself washed up. (Very grateful thanks to Lou at The Plate People, too).
And every one lived happily ever after.

20 years celebrations!

Charlotte threw a party at Penpont on the 18th July 2008 to celebrate 20 years in the trade and to thank all her clients, suppliers and friends that have supported her and helped make the business the success it is today.
